Spooky season is just around the corner. And as expected, Universal Studios Singapore (USS) won’t be going ahead with its typical haunted houses and scare zones this year. But that’s not to say Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is completely cancelled, as USS will still be offering some much-needed Halloween-themed entertainment at its premises from now till Nov 7.
Now styled as Trick or Thrills, guests will instead be treated to the first-ever Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights Exhibition (Sep 10-Nov 7). Here, fans of HHN will get to revisit some of the scariest haunted houses, scare zones and shows in the last nine years.
The showcase will display horrific props, gruesome installations and deadly facts about what went into creating various editions of the blockbuster event.
But besides the exhibition, guests of the park can already begin trick or treating with the return of Trail of Treats at USS. Just collect delectable treats from Candy Ambassadors armed with a variety of yummy confectionery.
Feeling peckish? Just grab some Halloween-inspired Dracula Minion Vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich or Minion Monsters Sweet Roll at the new Minion Monsters Bites food cart.
An unforgettable die-ning (sorry, we had to) experience also awaits at KT’s Grill, as the Malevolent Maitre D and his Wicked Waiter will set the stage for guests to feast on a three- or four-course ghastly gourmet menu and quench their thirst with a vast array of devilish drinks.
Finally, park-goers can even stand a chance to win prizes by taking a snapshot of their Halloween costume and uploading it on Instagram with the hashtag #TrickorThrillsatUSS.
Plus, every Friday and Saturday, come sundown, creatures of the night (think The Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein) will emerge from the depths of billowing fog at Universal Monsters Scream Alley to terrify pedestrians.
Halloween 2021 is looking up after all.
