The struggle is real for F&B and retail businesses in Singapore. Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, more and more people are choosing to minimise outings, even as social distancing becomes the norm and encouraged.
Still, life must go on. And for those who wish to live life as normally as possible, the good news is that several business associations have banded together to give us more reason to head out and splash some cash.
From Mar 13-22, two of Singapore’s largest lifestyle destinations—Orchard Road and Singapore River—will be playing host to a whole gamut of deals and promos. This March March More initiative, they call it, is a joint effort, and is being supported by the Restaurant Association of Singapore and Singapore Retailers Association. Expect over 180 eateries, retail brands, shopping malls and hotels to be participating.
On Orchard Road, even our beloved ice cream cart uncles are getting involved. Over the two weekends of Mar 13-15 and 20-22, the six carts situated outside the stretch from ION Orchard to Mandarin Gallery will each be giving away 400 ice cream sandwiches per day. That’s a whole lot of ice cream.
Beyond that, many of the malls are offering free parking, while restaurants, fashion retailers, spas and hotels are offering 1-for-1 deals. Even Mandarin Orchard is offering a free night’s stay for each paying night, while others like lingerie brand Simone Perele is offering a free panty with every bra purchase.
Over on the Singapore River stretch, expect plenty of food, drink and retail deals as well, with places like Bonchon offering 1-for-1 Ram-dons and Senor Taco offering two tacos for the price of one. Plus, there’ll be live band performances and street activities to keep things upbeat and fun.
There’s just too many deals to list, so head on over to the March March More site for the full detailed list. Remember, life goes on people.
March March More happens Mar 13-22.
