We’ll finally get to see electronic duo Odesza perform live in Singapore

Many had their hands up in the air when they noticed that Odesza was absent from the Singapore leg of this year’s Laneway Festival, but their inclusion in the line-ups for Indonesia’s We The Fest  and Malaysia’s Good Vibes Festival had many fans hopeful. But lo and behold, Live Nation has just announced that they’ll be making their debut at The Coliseum on Jul 20 as part of their “2018 A Moment Apart Tour”.

This young duo has only been around for about six years, beginning the journey with their first LP, Summer’s Gone, which was released towards the end of their days at Western Washington University. Just a couple of months after the release, they played their very first show, opening for Teen Daze and Beat Connection, and grew from there. It didn’t take them too long to hit a million plays on Soundcloud. A year later, they released their debut EP, My Friends Never Die

Within the next couple of months, they played their first headline tour, hit 30 million Soundcloud plays and released their sophomore record In Return, which debuted at the top of Billboard’s Dance/Electronic charts. Ever since then, they’ve played sold out large arenas and played at huge international festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Governor’s Ball Music Festival, all without the help of mainstream press or radio airplay. Their success comes mainly from word-of-mouth and streaming, which makes them and the music the put out all the more alluring.

Tickets are priced from $88-128 via LiveNation (pre-sale for existing LiveNation members will take place on May 31, 10am-11:59pm, while general sales begin Jun 1, 10am).
