In case you forgot, June is global pride month. And to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Singapore, simply head online for the returning Pink Fest from Jun 1 onwards.
Back after a one-year hiatus (no thanks to the ongoing pandemic), the inclusive commercial festival will be hosting over 60 different online programmes, ranging from arts and culture to career events.
Pink Fest 2021 comprises two parts: its signature events, as well as activities organised by its network of official festival partners. This year’s signature events which will all happen virtually include Pasar Pink Pop-up and Inclusive Careers Lab presented by PayPal.
While the former is the inclusive social market its regular participants know and love, the latter is a new initiative that helps the community find jobs in inclusive companies with virtual panel discussions, skills workshops and mentorship sessions.
In addition to the Pasar Pink Pop-Up experience which now follows a new format, Pink Fest will also present two must-watch live stream events this year. First, get excited for Queer Got Talent, produced in collaboration with fashion boutique Super Freak to showcase the hidden talents of the LGBTQ+ community.
Meanwhile, the Proud Pet Parade is a light-hearted show featuring the furred, feathered and scaly friends of the Singaporean LGBTQ+ community.
With so many inclusive activities happening across the month of June, be sure to mark your calendars for this exciting celebration of the freedom to love. Pink Fest 2021 is ready to bring you fun, laughter and joy—so start flying your rainbow flags high.
Pink Fest 2021 happens from Jun 1-30. More information available here.
