Clear your clutter and try upcycling at the Lifestyle & Eco Carnival this Saturday

It hasn’t been easy, but many establishments have been attempting to become more eco-friendly, so it was only a matter of time before a festival that celebrates sustainable, earth-friendly habits would happen.

Come Oct 5, step into the neighbourhood of colonial bungalows at The Oval, where over 50 pop-up stalls will reside, offering lifestyle products that promote an environmentally-friendly future at the Lifestyle & Eco Carnival 2019.

Besides retail therapy, head down for delicious nosh from various food truck vendors such as Thai fusion fare served in a cup at Sawadee Cup, coffee and sandwiches from Coffee Bandits, popsicles from Island Surfer, and more. Don’t forget to bring your own water bottle and food containers to save both your wallet and the environment too.

And while you’re there, why not pick up a new skill or two at the hands-on upcycling workshops? Discover the joys of recycling daily household items and get crafty with DIY glass lamps, or build an efficient self-watering planter. This will also be your chance to clear your clutter and stash of pre-loved clothes: do mother earth a favour and consider bringing down old clothings, clean plastic bottles and milk cartons for the recycling drive that the Lifestyle & Eco Carnival will be holding.

Just like any other traditional carnival, the fair will also provide free popcorn and candy floss for guests to enjoy but they’re only available while stocks last, just like the super chic limited edition tote bags that will only be presented to the first 100 visitors; so start planning for the green weekend ahead.

Lifestyle & Eco Carnival 2019 happens Oct 5 at The Oval @ Seletar Aerospace Park from 9am-6pm. Admission is free. More information available here.
