PARTY
There’re plenty of F1 parties in town, but Zouk’s three-day retro-themed Checkpoint is where you’ll wanna be. Start your F1 weekend on Friday with resident DJ Hong, before checking back on Saturday with Dutch DJ-producer luminary R3HAB, then end on a high on Sunday as UK R&B crooner Jay Sean races to the finish. Hear from Singapore Literature Prize 2018 winner Melissa De Silva as she tells us more about her thoughts behind why she wrote ‘Others’ is Not a Race. Joined by Nicole Batchelor, Gwenne Pinto and Andre D’Rozario, the four will then engage in a panel discussion after. Sep 14

PARTY
Swedish DJ Linnéa Palmestål (or LINNEA), Darker Than Wax’s RAH, and homegirl Cats on Crack are coming together for an all-female dance party, as part of the ongoing research and art project Gender Hierarchy that confronts the inclusivity and politics of gender. Sep 14

CONCERT

Regular F1 after-party haunt The Podium Lounge is celebrating their 10th anniversary with Champagne-fuelled partying and more international A-list celebrities than ever. Be entertained by the likes of Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden (a.k.a. Boyzlife), Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden who’ll be putting up a DJ set and a celebratory Race Night performance by Taboo of Black Eyed Peas. Sep 14-16

EXHIBITION
Have you heard? The Great Escape is closing, but not without one last shebang that includes a participatory memorial for the public to leave a piece of themselves with the place. Come by to contribute your stories, photos, knick-knacks and more in this collaborative mixed media installation. Sep 14-30

MARKET
More than 200 street vendors hawking mooncakes, tea and decorative ornaments will fill the streets in Chinatown—stretching from Pagoda Street to Smith Street for the Mid-Autumn Festival period. Through Sep 24

After making its way from the likes of Brooklyn to Seoul, the legendary pop-up series House of Vans is landing in Singapore, with a mash-up of exhibitions, workshops, music performances, and skateboarding events to get you hyped. Make your own zine, paint a mural, or learn how to make stellar coffee; anything is possible with this slick streetwear brand. Sep 15

PARTY
Collective Minds and Kilo Lounge are bringing Breakbot and Irfane back to Singapore for another epic night of non-stop dancing, with local fav DJ KFC on support. Sep 15

COMEDY
For a night of giggles courtesy of Jacky Ng, Siraj Aziz, Qamarul Haziq and Jinx Yeo, head to the late-night live comedy night at Intermission Bar. Sep 15

FILM
In partnership with the Singapore Film Society, the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) Film Festival is screening six films from around the world to raise awareness for persons with intellectual disability (PWIDs). An added highlight, two original shorts commissioned by MINDS and produced by Royston Tan’s Chuan Pictures will have their premiere, and be screened before the start of the six films. Sep 15-Oct 7

Craft purveyor The General Co and and Scottish whiskey distillery Balvenie have partnered up for an epic four-weekend pop-up of crafts workshops, supper club dinners, indie film screenings and more. At the Balvenie House of Craft, you can also get stellar drinks at the pop-up bar by guest mixologists from the likes of Junior and Manhattan. Through Sep 30

EXHIBITION
Dutch artist Theo Jansen is sending his prized Strandbeests to our shores. In fact entirely non-living, his world-renowned creatures made of PVC and wood are powered by wind, and spend their days moving gracefully across beaches (hence their name, which translates to “beach animal” in Dutch). Head to the ArtScience Museum for an exclusive look at this new species, where you can look at “fossils” of past beests, and even walk alongside 13 original Strandbeests. Through Sep 30

Ice Cream Sundays is turning Two, and to celebrate they’re throwing a big bash with all their old supporters at the beautiful Museum of Contemporary Art at Dempsey. Chow on dogs from Sidecar Sausages and gelato popsicles from Popbar SG, get a drink from the mobile bar, and dance the day away to crowd favorite selectors Funk Bastrd, Toppings and Bongomann. WELLNESS
The newly launched Harmony Fun Run running series intends to promote not just a healthy lifestyle, but inter-faith and racial harmony as well via a 5km fun run. The run will kick off from Costa Lawn at Pasir Ris Park. Sep 16
