Now that the long-awaited F1 weekend has arrived, enjoy great entertainment at the circuit itself but also race-inspired parties at other venues around Singapore. Otherwise, feel free to avoid everything F1-related at exhibitions, shows and even a climate change rally.

Witness the first presentation of Indian artist Ooona's fabric alteration paintings in Asia at art gallery Culturement this Friday. Feeling Resistance, Memory & Practice is one that explores the bounds of her studio practice and the interaction between Oona and her works. Opens Sep 20

Savour spirits at workshops by various alcohol brands as you enjoy music by DJs from Fat Fish Familia, The Holy Spirits and Darker Than Wax, at PR1X: The Pre F1 Party. This is members club 1880’s first F1 party, but all are welcome to join in the fun. Sep 20

Italian restaurant Monti is lining-up an all-encompassing range of events this September, and here’s another. To coincide with the F1 Grand Prix weekend, they are joining FOMO in putting on White Affair: A Dinner and Dance series, with a live screening of the race and DJs who will be deck duty too. Sep 20

Celebrate street culture with British fashion label Fred Perry as they take over independent art space Deck, for a night of music and style. Expect local alt-rock shoegaze band Coming Up Roses to take the stage as well as light nosh by graphic-designer-turned-chef, Gravy Baby. Sep 20

Revel in a sultry affair at Lulu’s Lounge’s race weekend party, Va Va Vroom. Enjoy the sights and sounds while sipping on cocktails, or head over to neighbour club Bang Bang for electrifying beats that’ll keep you going all night long. Sep 20-22

EXHIBITION
For a little over a week, check out the Holding Space and Flat Out To Keep by two artists at the Objectifs—Centre for Photography and Film. In Holding Space artist Ngiap Heng Tan uses photography, found materials and interviews to shed light upon families dealing with heavy topics such as mortality, chronic illness and the fragility of life; while Flat Out To Keep focuses on artist Lau Eng Seng’s project of looking at the residents of now-demolished public housing estate Rochor Centre. Sep 20-29

FOOD
Iberico pork gets its own menu here at The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s La Brasserie. For just over a week, indulge in rich-flavoured pork through dishes such as the Argentina Spice Crispy Fried Iberico Ribs, Tender Spice Braised Iberico Pork Cheek and Iberico Truffled Pork Cordon Bleu with Emmental Cheese. Sep 20-29

SPORT
Race to the finish line while celebrating your love for the bat in this Batman-themed marathon.
