Share your story at this upcoming playback theatre series for charity

Those looking to do some good during the upcoming festive season should consider supporting Interwoven Threads’ new Arts for Good project this year-end.

Created through a collaboration between arts practitioners from India and Singapore, the series offers participatory theatre performances hosted via Zoom, to invite audiences to experience playback theatre for a good cause.

Happening from Nov 7-Dec 19 (selected dates only), the event will explore two themes during the performances: Home & Home Away as well as Beyond the Horizon.

First, Home & Home Away will look at how the word home means many different things to different individuals. For instance, who, what or where is your home?

On the other hand, Beyond the Horizon will ask audiences to share what lies ahead of them, after nearly two turbulent years.

Both explored in a playback theatre format, audiences will have the chance to share their life stories and have it reenacted right in front of them—with the seamless incorporation of elements such as music, poetry, text and more.

A ticket will only set you back $5, and since the project is for a good cause, all proceeds will be donated to Be Kind SG.

If you ask us, this is the perfect opportunity to engage in the arts while giving back to society.
