Celebrate all things Irish with booze, games, live performances and more

St. Patrick’s Day—the celebration of Irish culture at its finest. Although some St. Paddy’s parades have been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, other smaller-scale events are still happening to pay homage to Ireland and their foremost patron saint. Below, check out six parties happening across our island, for an excuse to party with pints of Guinness in hand.

St Patrick's Celebration at 79 After Dark (Mar 13)

To snap up some of the best Guinness beer promos in town, head to 79 After Dark’s St. Patrick’s Celebration in a cool, green attire. And expect to be served delicious themed snacks and shots; all while DJ Uday spins his best tracks to turn Circular Road into a dance floor.

St. Patrick's Day Live Music Backyard Barbecue (Mar 14)

On Saturday, head down to SOS Restaurant and Bar at The Sail to enjoy live music while feasting on burgers and sausage rolls for next to nothing. Irish musical trio Sult and Irish singer Kevin McCabe will be taking the stage from 3pm-6pm, so don’t miss the opportunity to catch them live. Plus, complimentary bus services will be available to take crowds to popular dive bar Hero’s, so you can continue partying at the next venue.

St. Patrick’s Day (Mar 17)

The number of fun activities to be held at The Drunken Poet come Tuesday evening will give plenty of reasons to head down to the Irish bar tucked away at dodgy Orchard Towers. Get to personalise mini Guinness pints by engraving them; pour your own pint at their PYOP counter; and for the ladies, post party pictures of yourselves dressed in green to receive a free pint of beer.
