Slowly but surely, things are getting back to normal. In what seems like a very long time, outdoor fitness festivals are finally back on the calendar.
Supernova, a platform for curated fitness and wellness experiences, kicks off Supernova Fitness Picnics that’ll be held on two days, Apr 3 and 17.
These events are part of a pilot programme supported by Sport Singapore to re-introduce outdoor fitness to the community in a safe and experiential way.

Supernova Fitness Picnics will take place both outdoors at the Urban Park (Guoco Tower) and virtually, which means you can choose to livestream it in the comfort of your home or attend the physical event (only 100 spots are available).
Helmed by well-known fitness instructors, the event aims to strengthen, stretch and soothe your body. The instructors will guide you through a variety of workouts, from fat-blasting HIIT classes and deep-stretching sessions to a soothing meditation sequence to help you relax and wind down.
Being with a series of bodyweight and bodybuilding classes led by Jia En (Apr 3) and Tyen Rasif (Apr 17).
Then move on to a gentle Yin & Yang yoga class conducted by Fizzy (Apr 3) and a dynamic Barre class by Anabel Chew (Apr 17).

Finally, Kathy Gabriel, who is a founder and co-director of Urban Yogis, will close the Picnic with a breathing and meditation class (Apr 3), and Yoga Nidra (Apr 17), a deep and restorative class that promotes relaxation, clarity and tranquility for your mind and body.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy nourishing treats such as protein smoothies, afternoon tea and other delicious guilt-free eats.
All ticket holders will have access to free video-on-demand classes after the event.
If these large-scale pilot events leave you hankering for more, organiser TLG Festivals (the same folks behind previous editions of FitnessFest and YogaFest) has more outdoor fitness and wellness experiences in the pipeline this year. Stay tuned.
Register for Supernova Fitness Picnics here. Tickets start from $15 for livestream access and $55 for the outdoor event.
