Avid shoppers might recall the tiring but satisfying weekend at the Carouselland marketplace last year. Well brace yourself, because the mobile marketplace is holding another physical flea market from Aug 11-12 at Marina Bay Sands, Exhibition Hall A & B (Level 1), with over 400 booths of new and pre-loved items including retro collectibles and games, handmade gifts and vintage fashion.
New to Carouselland 2018: Trails and Treasures will be the “Local Pride Section” comprising workshops and sharing sessions from rising local creatives—such as Love Bonito’s Rachel Lim. If you’re into Instagram fame, sign up for a photo trail workshop with @Yafiq and @Yais; or make miniature food figurines of local dishes with crafty Carouseller @funwithartz. It is happening National Day weekend after all.
Another highlight at this year’s event includes an interactive treasure trail with prizes ranging from Carousell vouchers to $500 in cash as the top prize. Sign up early, as it’s limited to only 500 participants each day. And don’t worry about bringing cash; you can pay for anything at Carouselland by using the app’s DBS PayLah!-enabled Caroupay.
