The annual Voilah! France Singapore Festival has always been the event to immerse in French culture, and this year’s edition is proving to be no exception. In fact, the fancy fiesta presented by the Embassy of France in Singapore is taking things up a notch with a refreshing, feel-good twist to the yearly affair.
Celebrating joy and hope while highlighting all the magnificent aspects that characterise France and Singapore’s bilateral partnership, Voilah! France Singapore Festival 2021 will run from Nov 3-Dec 10 with 120 partners and over 50 programmes.
Aiming to be the first carbon-neutral festival in Singapore, the 2021 edition will see a return to in-person events which are bound to bring cheer.
Key highlights include Le Petit Prince – A Musical Journey as well as Le Grand Jazz. While the former is an orchestral adaptation featuring hologram technology and famed local actor Hossan Leong, the latter is an exclusive tribute to the late French composer Michel Legrand. The 37th French Film Festival will also stage a comeback with a total of 35 films—from cult movies to new, premiering pieces.
You’ll also want to mark your calendars for the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station Virtual Experience which will transport viewers back to the 1930s for some railway fun.
Finally, look forward to a myriad of culinary experiences such as cheese and wine tastings, private dining workshops and more, set to go down at the month-long festival.
