Wine Lust returns in September for a classy 2020 edition

Alcohol events have all but dried up this year, and who can blame them. While a few organisers managed to execute virtual festivals (which just equates to drinking at home with some hoorah), some are actually going ahead with physical, appropriately socially-distanced shindigs.

Come September, the annual month-long Wine Lust extravaganza by the 1-Group is happening as per normal this year, albeit in a toned-down, but still mighty classy fourth edition for 2020.

Six of the F&B group’s multi-concept venues will be satiating your vino desires with happenings such as wine pairing dinners, bottle promotions and tastings.

For starters, in the whole month of September, establishments like Wildseed Bar and The Riverhouse will be showcasing wines from Chile, a region often overshadowed by bigger wine producing regions, yet offers so much in terms of flavours and value.

At The Alkaff Mansion, find a five-course Spanish wine pairing dinner happening Sep 15-18. For $128 per person, have a taste of Spain’s finer offerings with elevated grilled eats, all paired with Torres winery’s exquisite bottlings.

Then at Monti, a bottomless prosecco brunch is taking place on Sep 12 and 13. Priced at $150 per person, expect free-flowing sirloin steak, black truffle fries, homemade pastas and more, all best washed down with bubbly.

One of the things we’re most looking forward to though, is the wine tasting event happening at Botanico on Sep 27. For a $35 ticket ($40 at the door), gain access to over 70 unique wines you can taste before you buy, all as you munch on complimentary snacks.

Many more wine-fulled events are taking place at their various venues, so head on over to their dedicated Wine Lust page to find out more.

Wine Lust 2020 happens Sep 1-30 across various venues.
