Science Centre Singapore presents DiscovHER 2024: Inspiring the NeXXt Generation from Mar 8 to 17 in celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This day on Feb 11 has been declared by the United Nations to recognise the critical role women and girls play in science and technology and to promote full and equal access to science.
With this year’s theme “STEM for Societal Change”, get ready for a dynamic and empowering series of talks, on-site activities and shows dedicated to promoting gender diversity and inclusion in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
DiscovHER 2024 will feature interactive on-site booths designed to immerse visitors in a diverse array of STEM activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in various experiences, including snapping selfies alongside (and with the help of) robots, encountering microorganisms up close, exploring the intricacies of different food waste types, and even crafting decorative pottery from these materials.
Through these hands-on encounters, participants will gain valuable insights into the significance of sustainability while enjoying an enriching blend of fun and learning.
