A pop-up that’s equal parts exhilarating fun and rose-tinted nostalgia has just landed at the newly revamped riverfront destination CQ @ Clarke Quay.
Say hello to The Xperience, a fully air-conditioned 10,000-square-foot event space with a massive roller-skating rink, immersive arcade and Singapore’s first White Rabbit Pop-up Cafe.
In other words, you can expect everything you’ll need – and more – for an evening of fun-filled entertainment, all while reliving the days of your youth.
Be sure to start off with Rollermania 4.0. The nature-themed 4000-square-foot roller-skating rink offers adrenaline junkies a way to burn off their need for speed without breaking a sweat – literally, as the entire rink will be shrouded in cool air-conditioning.
Newbies can also get their skate on for an affordable 15-minute crash course under the watchful eye of a team of coaches working with ex-regional skating champ, Law Kum Seng.
Insta-worthy photo ops will come aplenty, whether by way of over-hanging faux fauna above an urban skating rink – great for nature-forward action videos – or a picture set against a neon-lit sign dripping with 90s-era nostalgia.
Speaking of photo ops, the accompanying White Rabbit Pop-up Cafe will offer that in droves too. It’s the first of its kind in Singapore thus far.
Huggable oversized plushies – no points for guessing what animal – as well as a White Rabbit-themed candy wall serve as backdrops for utterly Instagrammable sweets, all tinged with a heady dose of White Rabbit magic.
Food-wise, there are bunny-themed cakes, loaded waffles slathered with White Rabbit Ice Cream and sauce, and a newly launched cone version of the sweet milky treat. You can even get White Rabbit-infused drinks; think milkshakes, boba milk tea and floats for good measure, along with a host of other non-dessert items to fill you up, and White Rabbit merch to bring home.
Thereafter, you’d probably want to burn off some extra calories at the third and final stop – The Xmmersive Games, featuring a bevy of immersive simulators, claw machines and skill-based carnival games to get your heart a-thumping once again.
The Xperience is at 3B River Valley Road, CQ @ Clarke Quay, Blk B, #01-01. It runs till July 31, and is open from noon to 10pm on Sundays to Thursdays, and noon to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and the eve of public holidays.
