This one’s for all the millennials with young kids.
Just because you have a family doesn’t mean you have to stop partying. In a case of “If you can’t beat them, join ’em”, Kampong Boogie’s inaugural family- and pet-friendly Kampong Kids Rave is your chance to revisit your wild clubbing days.
Happening on May 1, the Labour Day family rave will take place at Kult Yard, a former police barracks in Chinatown. It’s a unique daytime party with a tropical rainforest theme and beats provided by local DJs. Entry is free.
Dance to rare funk and upfront soul tunes by vinyl-only DJ duo HeavyItch. Joining them will be Filipino Singapore-based collective Secret Pals, while local DJs KFC, Drem from Choice Cuts and Prau will add a splash of house, hip hop and disco.
Get your toddlers dressed up as their favourite tropical animal and party to the best dance music. There will also be face painting, balloon sculpting, and a bubble machine for guaranteed fun.
Food-wse, tacos, old school potong ice cream, and “Kult Tails” mocktails will keep hungry kids at bay. Adults can head to the bar for craft beer and cocktails.
Kampong Kids Rave takes place on May 1, 3pm to 10pm, at Kult Yard, 195, #01-54 Pearl’s Hill Terrace, Singapore 168976.
