Pink Fest, a festival that celebrates Global Pride Month, is returning for the fifth year in Singapore with a host of events and activities throughout the month of June.
According to festival director Harris Zaidi, Pink Fest was created to “inspire, entertain and inform festival goers by creating a safe, supportive and inclusive ecosystem that embraces everyone in Singapore regardless of background.”
One of the key events was Pasar Pink held on Jun 4. Held at the Museum of Ice Cream, over 30 brands were present ranging from food to fashion and accessories. If you missed this, there are still plenty of activities to join in the celebrations.
Throughout the month of June, The Projector will host Pink Screen, a series of insightful and thought-provoking film screenings that touch upon topics of inclusion, representation and diversity, and showcase the talent, struggles and victories of the LGBTQ community across different countries and cultures. Some films that will be screened are: Metamorphosis (from the Philippines) and Moonlit WInter (from South Korea).
On Jun 17, sign up for Inclusive Careers Lab that includes panel discussions, skills workshops, and in-person social mixers. This enriching experience is designed to help support women, LGBTQ, racial minorities, people with disabilities, and those from underrepresented groups.
Finally, there are month-long promotions and discounts at stores islandwide in celebration of Pink Fest and Global Pride month. From bubble tea kits to eco-friendly lifestyle products, grab the deals before they end in June.
