Gaming giant Capcom, best known for publishing titles in the Resident Evil, Street Fighter and Mega Man franchises, will be making a return to Gamescom Asia 2024 this year.

The leading videogame business and consumer event in the region, now in its fourth edition, will be held at Suntec Singapore from Oct 17 to 20 (though it will only be open to the public starting Oct 18).

As the first major publisher to confirm their presence at the convention, Capcom promises attendees a chance to try out demos of their latest games (perhaps its recently released tower defense-like action game Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess?) as well as the chance to witness Street Fight 6 history being made at the official Capcom Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier Singapore tournament.

But Capcom is not the only returning star for Gamescom Asia 2024. The GCL group stages a comeback as well with its games publishing unit 4Divinity in tow. Titles we’re most excited to see include the long-awaited sequel to the cult favourite horror first-person-shooter, S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl; JDM: Japanese Drift Master for some light-hearted racing around Japan’s countryside; and open-world construction and survival game Terratech Worlds.

Apart from trying out the latest and greatest in videogames, attendees can also look forward to live stage entertainment from gaming personalities. The headliners for this year’s main stage programme will be none other than BAFTA-winning voice actor Andrew Wincott, best known for his portrayal of Raphael in the award-winning role-playing game, Baldur’s Gate 3. There will also be a J-pop performance by singer-songwriter Shihori, who’s singing most recently graced the music-themed Mobile Legends: Bang Bang! AllStar2024 event.

The event is ticketed. Find out more here.
