Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) is back, filled with 10 days of non-stop race-themed festivities including live performances, dining and shopping experiences, and exciting activities. Happening from Sep 13 to 22, the events will complement the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix which takes place from Sep 20 to 22.
One event that will give thrill-seekers an adrenaline rush is Levelled-Up Racing at HyperDrive, located at The Palawan @ Sentosa. Returning for its second edition from Aug 17 to 15 Sep, the exhilarating annual go-kart racing event is a speed demon’s dream as the three-level track delivers thrilling straightaways and 14 hair-raising turns.
This year, Levelled-Up Racing incorporates Game of Karts, Asia’s first gamified karting experience where real-life racing meets gaming. But it’s not just about speed and skill; participants will also need strategy as they use collected “special powers” to sabotage competitors or supercharge their way to the finish line.
Enhanced with sound and lighting effects for an immersive experience, drivers will enter a gaming realm and navigate specially projected lasers on the track to collect weapons and bonuses with various powers, such as Missile (a homing missile targeting the racer in front, slowing them down) and Boost (a temporary increase in speed with more power to outrun opponents) and more.
Participants will have the opportunity to win attractive prizes. In partnership with Red Bull Energy Drink, the champion of Levelled-Up Racing at HyperDrive will walk away with the ultimate fan experience and enjoy a tour of the Red Bull Racing Garage during F1 Singapore Grand Prix race weekend. The other finalists will win Red Bull Racing merchandise and The Palawan @ Sentosa vouchers.
The qualifying period will commence on Aug 17 and run until Sep 15. During this period, interested participants must purchase the Levelled-Up Racing: Game of Karts x Red Bull Bundle and win in their race session to qualify. The top eight fastest lap times will be invited to the finals on Sep 18 to win exclusive prizes.
