After the inaugural Sprint Fest last year, the event returns with more turbocharged thrills and donut spins over not one but two weekends at Palawan Green, Sentosa, from Jul 27 to 28, and Aug 3 to 4.
Organised by 2+1 Concepts, Sprint Fest 2024 aims to promote grassroots motorsports and spotlight local talent in Singapore. But it’s not just for automotive enthusiasts; it’s a family-friendly event that promises plenty of adrenaline-pumping racing and diverse line-up of festivities for all ages.
Witness the precision and skill of top Singaporean drivers competing in the Motorsports Singapore (MSS) National Auto Gymkhana Championships Round 1 and 2. The event will also feature a National Driver Selection 1-Make Race, offering aspiring racers a chance to showcase their talents on a national stage. For the first time, Sprint Fest will illuminate Palawan Green with a night stage dedicated to the MSS National Auto Gymkhana Championship Round 2.
Outside of the competition are adrenaline-pumping drift demonstrations. Look out for the 2004 Suzuki Ignis Sports, a rare relic from the World Rally Championship era. As the only one of its kind in Singapore and one of the few hundred remaining worldwide, this classic Suzuki Ignis Sports is Sprint Fest’s first project car. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the car in action during practice sessions, and experience firsthand its rally heritage and dynamic capabilities.
Fancy driving on the very same circuits used for the National Auto Gymkhana Championships? You can, if you have a valid driver’s license and your own car. Sign up for the Auto Gymkhana Open Practice Sessions and test your driving skills. Limited slots are available, priced at $180 per session or $300 for a full day of action.
The first Mini-Z 1/28 Race Track Competition and Free Play will take place on Aug 4, featuring categories like Kyosho Box Stock Class, Kyosho Super Stock Class, and RWD Open Class. For those who prefer to just have fun, Free Play sessions are available on Jul 27 and 28, and Aug 3.
Over at Beach Station Carpark, check out customised rides, restored beauties and modified cars. Gearheads can explore the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Underground Car Meet on Jul 27, then marvel at meticulously restored classics at the Classic Car Meet on Aug 4.
There are also magic performances, stage games, race simulators and live beats by local musicians and DJs.
