Dance and eat your heart out at one of the best Latin America fiestas this side of Asia. The Latinada Street Food & Music Festival, founded by Daniel and Tamara Chavez of Canchita in 2018, will return bigger and stronger than ever from Mar 23 to 24.
It has attracted 10 of the best Latin American chefs in Asia who currently reside in Singapore. They will prepare the feistiest street food from all corners of the continent a la minute, using authentic methods, for a dining experience like no other in Singapore or the region.
Taste authentic nachos and tacos, ceviche, anticuchos (popular, affordable meat dishes), choripan (an Argentine asado sandwich with grilled chorizo), salchipapas (thinly sliced, pan-fried beef sausages and French fries served with coleslaw), and more.
To wash them down, there are sangrias, margaritas, micheladas (a classic Mexican cocktail that combines beer, lime, and spices), and pisco sours, a Peruvian cocktail with pisco (made by distilling fermented grape juice into a high-proof spirit), key lime juice, simple syrup, egg white, and Angostura bitters.
Speaking of ceviche, Latinada 2024 hopes to make the Singapore Book Of Records by premiering the biggest ceviche ever made. Its portions are no less ambitious, so come hungry. Also, get in line for 10 different tacos from all over Mexico by Tamara Chavez and look out for the duo paella challenge.
Along with the food, immerse yourself in a full-fledged party with live music and performances by popular DJs, artistes and other performers.
Latinada Street Food & Music Festival takes place from Mar 23 to 24, 2024, at Canchita, Dempsey Hill. Entries are limited to only 500 per day, so get your tickets ($30 each) today here. Kids below 12 pay $10 each at the door on the event days.
