You may have read about Universal Studios Singapore (USS)’s monstrous collaboration with Netflix’s Sweet Home for Halloween Horror Nights 12. The show will come to life in a haunted house based on some of its most spine-chilling scenes and grotesque monsters from Season 1 and Season 2.
That’s just one part of Halloween Horror Nights. Get ready for more bone-chilling scares as the event returns to USS on selected nights from Sep 27 to Nov 2.
With the theme of dark dreams, the event will transport guests to a realm where dreams and nightmares co-exist, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. There will be four all-new immersive haunted houses, three terrifying scare zones, and three hair-raising shows.
In addition to the Sweet Home haunted house, the other three will put Asian horror front and centre (and behind – remember to look over your shoulder for unexpected scares). Singapore’s Most Haunted: The Killings by official event partner Sprite recreates the horrors of one of Singapore’s most haunted houses. Past the eerie stone lions, cursed tales await – along with the restless spirits of the countless victims and the malicious souls that killed them.
The Cursed Scrolls: Dynasty of Darkness is an immersive three-dimensional experience filled with the evil entities of the ancient scrolls that have been conjured by The Scrollmaster, a possessed Qing Dynasty scholar. As for the final haunted house, it remains a mystery for now (watch this space for updates).
More terror lurks at three Scare Zones. Visitors will have to dodge vampires hiding at Vampire Alley; or suffer a chilling fate for trespassing at The Lost Kampung. At Nether-Land, be hypnotised by voodoo vibes and beats that are to die for, and rave with the undead.
The nightmare continues with three live shows. The new Night Terrors transforms a fortress into a haunted haven for the phantoms of Asian folklore. Be mesmerised by a spectacle of lights and sound effects at this projection mapping show. Dark Dreams tells the twisted story of the Dream Reaper who feeds off the nightmares of innocent people to steal their souls, while Ocu.lar’s Rave is a dance alongside the undead to hypnotic music and visuals.
Lastly, head to the all-new immersive speakeasy, Viper Lounge. It’s at a hidden location but we think it’s worth the effort. After all, it’s a lavish bar owned by a vampiric clan known as The Elders. Guests can indulge in a range of deliciously devilish canapes and drinks while trouble unfolds around them.
