Christmas Wonderland is back at Gardens by the Bay from Nov 29, 2024 to Jan 1, 2025 to ignite your senses this festive season. Presented by Trip.com and organised by Blue Sky Events, the 11th edition of Singapore’s biggest yuletide fair will feature an array of new immersive experiences, even more light displays and festive performances, as well as the return of fan favourites that will delight visitors of all ages. Look forward to an expanded entertainment line-up which includes festive flash mobs and more choral performances than the previous edition of Christmas Wonderland. Here are some of the highlights.
Blizzard Time and Spalliera: Experience the surreal landscape of “snowfall” in the Gardens daily with a perennial favourite made even more magical with a brand-new specially commissioned soundtrack by Singaporean composer-conductor Dr. Darius Lim. His composition, entitled “Magic of Christmas”, will enhance the ethereal atmosphere of Blizzard Time alongside the magnificent 20-metre-tall Spalliera light display, which is inspired by the pointed arches in Italian Gothic architecture and handmade by artisans from the south of Italy.
Merry Bears: Over at the Lawn, a larger-than-life light display of an adorable trio of Merry Bears – the biggest measuring up to six metres tall – will put a smile on everyone’s faces.
Bluebell Lane: Wander through an enchanted forest at Bluebell Lane. There are plenty of photo opportunities here.
Merry Lane: More captivating light displays can be found here. Check out installations such as the colourful 50-metre-long Walk of Lights tunnel, and Odette’s Dance, an ode to one of the world’s most iconic ballets, Swan Lake. The latter is a mixed media installation that combines light displays of swans with multimedia content.
Garden Rhapsody: This is a spellbinding light and sound show as the Supertrees’ lights dance to Christmas classics.
Santa’s Village: Meet Father Christmas at his home before he flies off to deliver presents, and enjoy a more hands-on experience by participating in festive workshops.
Festive dining and entertainment: Feast on a variety of cuisines curated by some of Singapore’s popular food and beverage establishments, such as Brewerkz, Harry’s, Kebabs Faktory, Churros Republic, Sofnade, Sugar Belly, and Swag Social. Don’t miss the live performance of Christmas Wonderland’s theme song “Magic of Christmas” on Nov 30 and Dec 1.
Carnival games and rides: Hop aboard the CDG Zig Express Christmas Train that runs between Supertree Grove and Santa’s Village. Have fun at traditional style carnival games like Ring Toss, Fishy Fishy, and Snowball Smash located at Supertree Grove, then take a ride on the only double-storey Venetian horse carousel in Singapore. Passes for rides and carnival games are sold separately.
Mistletoe Alley: Shop for gifts at Mistletoe Alley, which features brand new brightly coloured festive huts and cheerful elves standing by to greet customers.
