Mark your calendars for the ultimate wine journey from Aug 15 to Sep 10. The seventh edition of Wine Lust features wine-centric experiences across 15 of 1-Group’s dining destinations, as well as the debut of The Grape Escape, its first-ever wine bus tour.
The schedule includes wine tastings, masterclasses, special dining promotions, ticketed events for wine and food pairings, and an exquisite wine dinner to excite even the most jaded oenophile.
Like previous editions, this year’s Wine Lust aims to refine the overall experience and introduce new ways for newbies to appreciate great wine.
Additionally, Wine Lust 2023 offers a Wines of the World Map detailing the festival’s key highlights, including The Grape Escape routes, exclusive promotions, and unique wine facts. Among the many events, we have selected several we think you should experience.
Taste, shop and dine
On the Grape Escape’s wine bus excursions, participants have an exciting opportunity to travel to different venues to sip, savour, and sightsee.
There are three uniquely curated wine journeys over three weekends. The Grape Escape on Aug 19 (2.45pm) takes you to Botanico, The Garage, in Botanic Gardens for a wine fair with tastings and a chance to buy great bottles. Then visit Sol & Ora at 1-Altitude Coast, The Outpost Hotel Sentosa, for a wine and charcuterie tasting before ending with a sake-pairing dinner ($88++) at Oumi beside the 1-Arden Food Forest – the world’s highest sustainable urban farm located 51 levels up on the CapitaSpring rooftop.
European wine tasting fair and wine cellar visit
During The Grape Escape on Aug 26 (3.15pm), nine wine suppliers will showcase the best European wines at Atico Lounge, Ion Orchard. Afterwards, there will be a masterclass at UNA, the exclusive ambassador of La Rioja Alta wines, with Cellarmaster. Additionally, you’ll see the newly refurbished private wine cellar and La Rioja Alta wine tasting room at The Alkaff Mansion before enjoying a five-course Around The World Wine Pairing Dinner ($128++) at Botanico.
Masterclasses and the ultimate wine pairing dinner
On Sep 2 (3pm), vino lovers will enjoy a unique EuroLatin wine experience on The Grape Escape route. Your journey commences with a Crystal Wines masterclass at Au Balcon at The Summerhouse in Seletar followed by a weekend fiesta masterclass at Sol & Luna, 1-Arden. The experience concludes with a spectacular seven-course Vina Concha Y Toro multi-sensory wine dinner ($188++) at Argentinian restaurant Fire at 1-Atico.
