If you haven’t had the chance to visit Christmas markets overseas, this is your opportunity to experience one – right here in Singapore. The inaugural World Christmas Market Singapore is set to usher in the festive season from Dec 5 to 25 at The Promontory@Marina Bay.
Brought to life by DareDreamer (the newly minted brand experience division of Oceanus Media Global), this enchanting market aims to become “a beloved holiday tradition in Singapore and across Asia, spreading warmth and joy, and the true spirit of Christmas.”
While we won’t be bundled up in cosy knits drinking mulled wine in a snowy wonderland, organisers promise a twinkling magical landscape with Christmas melodies filling the air. Visitors can shop amidst glittering adornments and towering Christmas trees that create a vibrant tapestry of seasonal cheer, and explore stalls offering handcrafted treasures and a range of traditional Christmas treats with local and Asian favourites. There is also a dedicated children’s area inspired by Nikolausdorf (Saint Nicholas’s Village) for the little ones.
A host of enchanting activities are in the pipeline. Stroll down Candy Cane Lane, sing along to Christmas carols while passing by the Singing Christmas Tree, or visit the Christmas Tree Farm where visitors can purchase fresh Christmas trees and ornaments. Live festive entertainment such as The Christmas Musical and Roving Carollers will keep everyone entertained, and a Snow Globe Picture Booth will allow all to embrace the spirit of Christmas and create lasting memories.
