Travelers making pilgrimages to Islam’s holiest sites will soon enjoy a cheaper and shorter journey there out of Singapore. Come May 2, Scoot will launch direct flights between Singapore and Jeddah, the gateway to the cities of Mecca and Medina. This replaces the previous option of a Singapore Airlines flight with a transit in Dubai. Jeddah will be the first destination for Scoot in the Middle East.
Saving you four hours of travel time, this route will be served by Scoot’s 787 Dreamliners which can accommodate 335 passengers in state-of-the-art comfort with access to inflight WiFi. The thrice-weekly flights are available on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays with fares starting at about $768 return (excluding baggage).
