An Italian Name
Lest you think indie cinema The Projector is the only place showing lesser-known arthouse films, Golden Village at Plaza Singapura will be offering a couple of gems from The 14th Italian Film Festival. Some of the festival’s highlights include An Italian Name by award-winning director Francesca Archibugi, about dramatics that ensue when a wealthy Roman couple announces the arrival of a baby to a dinner party, and My Mother by Nanni Moretti, a comedic clash between a short-tempered film director and her ailing mother. Tickets are on sale from Apr 7.
Scotts Square is offering new dining options
You may be familar with The Coffee Academics, Wild Honey and London Fat Duck at Scotts Square, but if you think that’s all the luxury mall has to offer, think again. In the third quarter of this year, international chain PizzaExpress will be dishing out handmade pizzas, pastas and gluten-free items at its first Singapore outlet at Scotts Square’s basement. There’s also Paradise Teochew by Paradise Group which is opening in the next couple of months. Like its name suggests, the restaurant serves authentic Teochew cuisine.
