You might not have heard of the brand but popular China smartphone outfit Xiaomi, is creating ripples in the scene since they announced their arrival here. More details have been released on its website – the Redmi model and its accessories will be available for website order from Feb 21 at a price of $169. The model features a 4.7-inch display with 4GB internal storage, quad-core 1.5GHZ processor, a rear 8-megapixel flash and sits on the Android Jelly Bean platform.

And in the same grain, China-based electronics manufacturer Oppo just announced that they’re about to launch the 5.9-inch N1 sometime in March. More good news for consumers! 

Bad Romance
Valentine’s Day may be over, but for some the romance is just getting started. Or at least, that’s what they think. It’s now a worrying trend on the Internet- an increasing number of women are beginning to fall victim to “Internet love scams”, police have revealed. There have been an increase from 50 cases in 2012 to 81 cases in 2013. According to the report, most “claim to be from Britain and target women searching for love online through dating or soial networks”.
