Google Street View has quickly become the armchair traveler’s favorite tool for scouting out cool spots around the globe (as well as some epic fails!). Now the Big G has released info on which places are the most commonly viewed. Across Asia, Japan comes out on top (including sites like the abandoned coal mine at Hashima), but the view of little old Marina Bay Sands from the Fullerton Heritage Promenade managed to crack the Top 10 regional list.
So what about a Top 10 for Singapore? Well, drum roll please, apparently the most popular views of Singapore are of:
- Fullerton Heritage Promenade
- Istana Kampong Glam
- Holland Village
- Singapore Flyer
- Mustafa Centre
- Fort Canning Park
- West Coast Park
- Changi Beach Park
- Hort Park
- Singapore Zoo
Meanwhile viewers actually in Singapore (keep up at the back there) apparently obsess over the following places:
- Istana Kampong Glam
- Fullerton Heritage Promenade
- Holland Village
- West Coast Park
- Singapore Flyer
- Champs de Mars, Paris
- Tokyo Tower, Tokyo
- Fort Canning Park
- Stanford University
- Canali di Venezia, Venice
