An underground graffiti art project has surfaced and it looks like these folks want to rekindle the “art or vandalism” debate that emerged from the recent Sticker Lady saga. Not much is known about this movement except for its name Can(e) Singapore, possibly played off the fact that vandalism is a crime punishable by caning (only applicable to men). Here are some photos of the artist working around Singapore, painting images from the past (birdcages, street hawkers and wild flowers) onto concrete walls, in an attempt to create breaks in the modern landscape (explained in a tip-off email we received today).
Follow the Can(e) Singapore Tumblr page to monitor their progress.
