A staycation package that comes with plenty of gin imbibing? Damn, sign us up (we did). The dual pleasures of drinking and sleeping has been made so convenient to enjoy together, thanks to the folks from Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore and Singapore’s very own Brass Lion Distillery.
They’ve teamed up to launch the new Oops, I’ve Ginned! Staycation Package, that’s only available on weekends (Sat-Sun) till Dec 1, 2019. It’s a pretty complete deal. From $380 a night in Oakwood’s one-bedroom serviced apartments, you get a whole suite of things, like an entire DIY cocktail kit, for one.
DIY Cocktail Kit
The generous kit includes a full bottle of Brass Lion’s flagship Singapore Dry Gin (which you can personalise for an additional $15), a chrysanthemum honey tincture and a bottle of sparkling lychee tea for mixing. It also comes with garnish, a jigger, and a recipe guide to make sure you’re building it right. If you want tonic, you gotta bring your own, though the locally-made gin is mighty good for sipping without any mixers.
Also included in the staycay package is a tour of Brass Lion Distillery itself (about 10-15mins away), inclusive of round-trip transport. During the roughly hour-long tour, find out how Singapore’s first micro-distillery operates, know what ingredients go into every drop of Singapore Dry Gin, and taste a flight of three gins the distillery currently produces. The distillery houses a bar too, so feel free to continue drinking more—keeping in mind a whole bottle awaits in your room.

Or you can head back to Oakwood’s The Bar, located by the pool, where they are now offering three new concoctions all made using Brass Lion’s Singapore Dry Gin. Try the BLD Martini ($16), a citrusy, but still spirit-forward take on the classic.
Feel free to drink to your heart’s content, since you’ve got a room at your disposal. Then wake up to a breakfast spread that’s inclusive in the package, hit the pool (and gym), before feeling all ready to start the week anew.
