GrabFood beta is now live, and they’re offering a $5 promo code to entice you

As promised when they bought over (and phased out) competitor Uber in the Singapore market, Grab has brought their food delivery service GrabFood to our shores with the launch of the app’s beta version today (May 28), just in time for the Vesak Day public holiday.

They currently have thousands of F&B options to choose from, including A Poke Theory, Hock Lam Beef Noodles, Ji De Chi, McDonald’s, Wing Zone and Yum Cha. But the best part? Just like Uber Eats, there will not be any minimum order requirement, so go ahead and just order an ice-cream cone from Mickey D’s because you can.

There is also an advance order function on the app, where you can schedule your purchases up to five days in advance. Regular Grab users will be glad to know that GrabFood is linked to GrabRewards too, where each dollar spent will grant you five reward points for use in their redemption catalogue.

And while Grab no longer dishes out promo codes for ride hailing like they used to, they’re offering it for their food delivery, at least for now. Until Jun 3, you can use promo code 5OFF3 to get $5 off three GrabFood orders.
