The Kyo Yasai Fair brings a taste of Kyoto to Singapore through 5 selected restaurants

They say the best way to understand a country’s culture is through their food. So explore the famed beauty of Kyoto at the Kyo Yasai Fair. Happening from now – 16 Mar, the event is organised by the Kyo-Branded Products Association of Kyoto Prefecture’s government to commemorate the culture and cuisine of Kyoto.

The term Kyo Yasai refers to the heirloom vegetables grown in the Kyoto Prefecture – Kyo means “capital” (referring to Kyoto during the Heian period), while Yasai translates to vegetables. A tradition taken very seriously by the Japanese, Kyo Yasai succinctly defines clean, healthy eating and an age-old culinary heritage.
