Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I’m a black belt Taekwondo enthusiast and I would love to have a place where I can practice the sport. I’ve just moved to Hong Kong and I’m not particularly looking for a center that teaches, but rather, a place where I can practice with individuals that are on a similar level. – Black Belt Badass
My my, wouldn’t want to meet you in a dark alley! Just knowing that there are so many centers around Hong Kong that churn out trained killers is a rather frightening awakening. Yes, there are many martial arts schools around the city that teach Taekwondo, but if you want to just practice, make sure to pay a visit to Hong Kong Taekwondo Association (Room 2012, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay, 2504-8116). You’ll have a chance to make new likeminded friends, then kick, punch and beat them up.
Dear Mr. Know-It-All,
I need your help. I have a very important guest coming for a business conference and I need to pick him up from the airport in style. Where can I rent a limo with a driver and how much will it be? – Stretched Out
You have nothing to worry about. There are tons of limo services and car-rental agencies where you can pick up almost any luxury car you like. The Park Lane Limousine Service (Unit 702, 74 Yue Hua International Building, Kowloon Park Drive, Tsim Sha Tsui, 2377-0733) hires out limousines for $400 per hour (minimum two hours). Car rental joints, such as Avis (93 Leighton Rd., Causeway Bay, 2890-6988) will rent you a Mercedes-Benz with a driver for $1,800 per day. Hawk Rent-a-Car (Suite 1306, Stanhope House, 738 King’s Rd., Quarry Bay, 2516 9822) offers a similar deal for $330 per hour (minimum three hours).
