Welcoming six new residencies, Baker X looks forward to showcasing treats from Arc-en-ciel's Japanese-inspired mousse cakes to Guilt Free Food's paleo-friendly gluten-free loaves

Following months of successfully hosting talented home-bakers and entrepreneurs looking to reach out to a wider audience, Baker X looks forward to entering its next phase, where they’ll be welcoming six new home bakers with plans to scale up into full-fledged stores.

Providing these aspiring talents with a fully equipped baking studio and café, the physical space allows them to try their hands at running a store in town and engaging with customers in the flesh – at no cost of their own.

 

 

An initiative by Far East Organization, Baker X aims to encourage the growth of the local business ecosystem and promote the entry of new brands so that consumers in Singapore have access to more choices and greater diversity.

 

 

Beginning in July, the new phase will kick off with Arc-en-ciel taking residency. Known for their elegant French and Japanese-inspired Mousse Cakes. Inspired by their travels and cake adventures overseas, Arc-en-ciel’s menu features unique creations that showcase both classic flavours and (previously) impossible flavour pairings such as poached pears and caramel in Antoine, vanilla, yuzu, coffee, and pecan in Julie, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and cherry in Athena, and strawberry, mint, and lime in Lila.

 

 

Following Arc-en-ciel, Baker X will be welcoming residencies with Joo Bakes, who will showcase delicious Butter Cakes of locally inspired flavours in time for National Day celebrations, then Supplymeetdough, with their special annual Shanghai Mooncake and popular Ondeh Cookies, followed by One Tough Cookie with their delectable cookies, Burnt Cheesecake, and Sticky Date Pudding with Toffee Sauce exclusively created for Baker X.

The close of the next phase will feature residencies by Guilt Free Food, a noteworthy baker who impresses with savoury bakes such as the Luigi Pizza Rolls and Miso Kombu Rolls, as well as paleo-friendly gluten-free loaves and Dilutedcoke, which will showcase innovative bakes such as Pistachio Tiramisu Tart, Pistachio Tart, and Taro Bread Bowl Pudding.
