Partial proceeds will go to the Cat Welfare Society

Hold on to your whiskers, because Cats of The World Purrzaar (COTW) is back on Apr 10 and 11.

At this annual event held in partnership with the Cat Welfare Society (CWS), fans of all things feline can look forward to a host of activities and workshops, including an exhibition and the highly anticipated Purrzaar market.

A paw-some way to spend the weekend
First, check out the Instagram Cats Exhibition. What started in 2007 as a non-profit community project and humble showcase of cat photos from around the world has gone from strength to strength.

The tradition continues 14 years on, with 30 Instagram cat photos to go ga-ga over. You can send in your funny or cute cat entries too. Email catsoftheworldpurrzaar@gmail.com with the Instagram handle by Mar 21 2021 for shortlisting.

Momshoo cat brooches

Then head to the cat-themed Purrzaar market featuring 10 vendors, including popular returnees like Momshoo, Oatsie’s Trunk, Amy Handmade Ceramics and StuffSusieMade, as well as new ones like the Cat Mama Shop by CWS, Eat To Draw, Hang With Dora, Purrballs, Studio MU YU and Troops on Print.

Cat coaster workshop by Mu Yu

Sign up for the cat-themed workshops where you’ll learn block printing by hand-carving rubber stamps and printing on postcards, or pick up essential woodworking tips to make your very own cat coaster.

Finally, there’s also a cat adoption drive to help furries find their forever home.

Cats of The World Purrzaar will be held at UltraSuperNew Gallery, 168 Tyrwhitt Road on 10 and 11 Apr. Entry is free by registration here. Venue capacity rules apply.
