Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh bread? Joining the line-up of exclusive National Day offerings, BreadTalk unveils the Flavours of Home collection, featuring eight new locally inspired creations.
Available from now till Aug 31, the limited-edition pastries and beverages pay homage to iconic hawker classics well-loved by Singaporeans.
An inventive rendition of one of our beloved hawker bites, the Chicky Satay sees deliciously marinated chicken morsels wrapped within bite-sized croissants, accompanied by the familiar peanut sauce, melted gouda, and mozzarella cheese that makes the bread oh-so-satisfying.
Then, there’s the Sambal Swirl, filled with full-bodied flavours of spices and chilli, enhanced by the addition of diced cheddar.
For those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on the Pulut Hitam as they reinterpret this traditional dessert into a charcoal bun with chewy mochi and black glutinous rice at its core. A nod to Singapore’s breakfast classic, the Kaya Kebaya combines our iconic Hainanese kaya custard with flaky and fragrant croissant pastry, topped with desiccated coconut for extra bursts of texture and fragrance.
As part of the Flavours of Home collection, fans will also be excited to find the familiar fragrance of pandan in the fluffy Pandan Light Cheesecake, a local twist on their signature Japanese counterpart. Adding on to the list are the Pandan Gula Melaka Crunch, an indulgent combination of pandan chiffon, smooth gula melaka mousse, and toasted coconut flakes, and the adorable Kopimisu, featuring the charming notes of Nanyang kopi-o.
