Singapore’s Circle Line will soon be…well, an actual circle

Your Circle Line woes of multiple transfers will soon be ending, guys. With the announcement of three new stations, Singapore’s most frustrating MRT line will come full circle. Ok, not soon, but in 2025.

The three new stations will be Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward (near Palmer Road), along with a 4km extension link to the Harbourfront and Marina Bay MRT stations. Exciting! Though, of course, interchanges mean more humans on the trains. Win some, lose some.

We’re especially excited about the Cantonment station, which will be integrated with the Old Tanjong Pagar Railaway Station building. CNA has said that there are even plans to create a replica of the former railway station platform. Nostalgia lovers, rejoice.
