As we begin to pay increasing attention to the benefits of local produce in recent years, an NTU student-led initiative spearheads a campaign to garner greater awareness and support for the local farming community.
A 100% local produce subscription pack by The Local Farm, it aims to provide a convenient and beneficial solution for both consumers and farmers.
Each Local Farm Pack is filled with goodness sourced from our very own farms in Singapore. Amongst them are eggs from N&N Agriculture, mushrooms from Kin Yan Agrotech, fish filets from The Fish Farmer and more.
Unknown to many, Singapore actually has more than 200 farms. For an overview of some of the individual farms that supply the Local Farm Pack with their produce, visit Fresh off the Dot’s website.
Subscribers get to have fresh produce delivered weekly to their doorsteps, with a rotating variety of ingredients for them to cook up a storm with. With a shortened distance from farm to kitchen, consumers can be sure that they’re taking in a lot more nutrients as they don’t lose them to the time it usually takes for produce to arrive from across borders. Furthermore, you get to support our local farmers and settle your weekly fresh grovery needs without any additional fees or delivery charges.
For a glimpse of The Local Farm Pack physically, head down to Open Farm Community on 26 or 27 Feb, to learn more about the pack and local produce at a weekend pop-up by Fresh off the Dot.
