Global design studio XM opens its first concept store in Singapore

Over the last decade or so, pop art and their collectibles have witnessed a meteoric rise in popularity, cementing their status amongst mainstream consciousness as celebrities in their own right. In no small part, the recent surge of superheroes on the big screen has driven this phenomenon from stage to stage.

Now, comic book fans, alternate universe enthusiasts, fictional world aficionados, and pop culture lovers can finally band together in a joyous celebration of the opening of XM Studios’ store in Singapore.

An award-winning global design studio, XM specialises in hand-crafted luxury collectibles and is a recognised licensee for brands the likes of Disney, Warner Bros., Hasbro, Godzilla, Ultraman, Sanrio, and more. Amongst their most recognisable collectibles are perhaps the various unique editions of exquisite Marvel and DC characters, all conceptualised and designed in-house.

The flagship store occupies an impressive 19,000 square-feet, showcasing over 300 prized statue collectibles that trace their roots all the way back to XM’s inception.

The brand aims to diversify its portfolio and push the boundaries of collectible experience with the store’s immersive first-of-its-kind encounter.

The experience includes themed pods, such the DC-themed pod that houses XM’s unique Samurai line. A creative collaboration between Warner Bros. Consumer Products and XM, it features characters like Batman Shogun, Joker Orochi, Catwoman, and more.

Marvel-themed pods showcase meticulously crafted fan favourites from the X-Men to Avengers. Their largest 1:4 scale statue, the War Machine, will also be on display.

Other highlights at the gallery also include XM’s latest Optimus Prime and Megatron busts, that span almost 1 metre in height, at the Transformers-themed pod, and never-before-seen statues like that of Spider-Man Absolute Carnage and Avengers Maestro (Exclusive).

The space also features XM’s in-house 99 Gelato Coffee Bar, with specially curated coffee beans and artisanal gelato, and UNIC, a lifestyle space filled with vintage and limited edition designer items and streetwear brands sourced from around the world.
