How to spend a staycation on Orchard Road*

[Sponsored] It’s super easy to spend a whole day on Orchard Road. And with the Great Singapore Sale on at the moment, a staycation has never been this rewarding. At Pan Pacific Orchard, you get the usual breakfast, but also $50 F&B credit and an additional $50 spa voucher for use at St. Gregory Spa—plus late checkout. Here’s an itinerary for how to spend it right.

11am: Check in for a staycation
The one at Pan Pacific Orchard starts at an affordable $265, with Deluxe, Premium, Executive or Studio Rooms all replete with warm tones and access to the swimming pool and recreation centers.

11:30am: Take in some art and some brunch
Get an early start and head out to nearby Tanglin for some art to inspire you for the rest of the day. Bruno Gallery focuses on silkscreen lithography and giclee techniques by prominent Israeli artists. And just across the road, MAD Museum of Art & Design does sculptures, design collectibles and paintings. For a quick brunch, grab one of their yummy Japanese-inspired dishes.

2pm: Get a massage
Head back to Pan Pacific Orchard for a relaxing spa treatment at the St. Gregory Spa. Highly recommended is their award-winning Tui Na Massage, which combines massage and acupressure to promote blood and lymphatic circulation. It’s a sweet $148 nett, and if you’re doing the staycation, you’ll have a $50 spa voucher to put towards your bill.

3:30pm: Load up on pastries
When else are you going to do a high tea session if not on a staycation? There are three tiers of handcrafted desserts, tapas, delicate sandwiches, macaroons and bakeries at Pan Pacific Orchard’s Gourmet High Tea at its Lobby Lounge. Priced at $42 on weekdays and $52 on weekends, these sweet treats are topped with freshly baked savory pastries, crisp salad station and a curated cheese selection. To make it boozy, top up to $76 on weekdays and $82 on weekends for a free-flow of Laurent Perrier Champagne.
