White Trash Pop-Up Dinner
Candice Leong makes a guest chef appearance at this (somewhat insensitively named) “White Trash” dinner. Fancy food is served on decidedly unfancy sticks: powdered white truffle bottarga with Middle Eastern spice powder; hazelnut-covered foie gras; hand-cut beef tartare with tobiko; and slow-braised veal cheek with mushroom mousse and beetroot puree, this nine-course dinner meshes French ingredients with Asian flavors. It even includes an aperitif and half a bottle of wine.

2001: A Space Odyssey
A free outdoor screening of Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 classic about human agency and artificial intelligence, as part of the National Museum’s Under the Banyan Tree series.
