Local startup community The Hub branches out with a fancy co-working space

Long a meeting spot for cool networking events in the Orchard area, The Hub Singapore has now launched a new co-working space at 128 Prinsep Street with features such as 160 co-working and permanent desks, eight team rooms, six hi-spec meeting rooms, three sound-proof Skype booths and event spaces to accommodate up to 200 people. There’s even an in-house cafe, a communal pantry, hot showers and a nap room because everyone needs a little R&Reven busy technopreneurs.

Co-workers and booth buddies include international companies like news site Mashable, online payment solutions provider Braintree_Paypal and local startups Gone Adventurin’ and Our Better World.

The Hub Singapore is also launching programs to help independent businesses here such as the Investor in Residence program and The Hub Alumni which provides those at The Hub funding for their ideas and a mentorship opportunity with experienced fund managers. They’ve roped in J.P Morgan, DBS Bank and Procter & Gamble as partners.
