Singapore’s fancy new hotel is designed by Philippe Starck

A luxe new hotel is opening in town and there’s plenty to be excited about. People seem to be going on about its all-female level that’s only open to the ladies and even comes complete with female butler services and specially tailored amenities. But that’s hardly the highlight for us, especially in Singapore; a country that’s consistently being billed as one of the safest for solo female travelers.

The real draw is that The South Beach is designed by big-time French designer Philippe Starck who has his name on posh hotels around the world and are known for his quirky and whimsical designs. Located right beside Suntec City, the dramatic 654-room hotel is split into two towers and comes with two Sky Gardens, infinity pools as well as offices and retail stores.

There’s still no opening date set yet but it’s slated to be open in the third quarter of this year.
