Say hello to the new and improved Robertson Quay

The hoardings have come off, the heavy machinery that once lined the pathways of Robertson Quay is nowhere to be found and the dust has settled. Introducing Quayside, the redevelopment project in Robertson Quay that’s all set to be one of the city’s most exciting and sophisticated riverfront restaurant and bar destinations along the Singapore River.

When we welcomed one of Quayside’s tenants, Summerlong, a cool new Mediterranean “beachside” haunt by the same owners behind Neon Pigeon, Fat Prince and The Ottoman Room just a few weeks ago, we knew there was something much bigger at work. After a couple of months, this up and coming neighborhood has finally been completed, unveiling a myriad of eateries and bars that’s worth leaving our diets at home for. Quayside has adopted a minimal aesthetic for its make over, using a monochromatic palette, clean lines and subtle finishings throughout the facade so that it doesn’t steal the thunder from the real stars of the 100,000 square feet of space.

Joining Summerlong at the vibrant, newly dolled-up hot spot is Decker BBQ, a familiar and popular smokehouse dishing out juicy slabs of meat from their in-house wood smoker; Dabbawalla, an Indian cuisine restaurant that serves up some of Mumbai’s best dishes (apparently, you can have curry and cocktails under one roof); Loco Group’s third Mexican food establishment, Superloco; and French bistro Les Bouchons, among many others.

You can also look forward to tenants like Publico, a multi-concept joint taking after typical Italian trattorias, accompanied by a New York-style deli and a modern Italian cocktail bar all in one place; Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by internationally acclaimed restaurateur and former headwaiter at Brooklyn’s Peter Luger Steak House, Wolfgang Zwiener; as well as the much-raved members’ club, 1880.

All the dining and bar concepts at Quayside will be open by September. Quayside is located at 60 Robertson Quay
