NASA astronaut Tim Kopra is currently serving aboard the International Space Station and he’s been tweeting images of the incredible view from about 400km above Earth. Dubai, Honolulu, New Delhi and Venice have all had starring roles and on Mar 19, it was Singapore’s turn to step into the limelight.
With most of the island captured, locations like Changi Airport, Jurong Island and Sentosa can be easily identified. A number of parks, nature reserves and military installations also appear as swathes of darkness dotted around the otherwise illuminated landscape.
The photo is now making the rounds on social media with thousands of shares on Twitter and Facebook.
