Singapore’s first Mondrian hotel will reside in the trendy Duxton Hill neighbourhood

The first Mondrian hotel to be constructed on Singapore soil will officially reside in the trendy Duxton Hill neighbourhood come early 2023, although the fitting locale isn’t the only thing exciting about the property.

Developed by Craig Road Property Holdings, the new hotel is a venture between hospitality groups Accor and Ennismore, aimed at further expanding the Mondrian brand’s luxury lifestyle experiences in South East Asia.

The building’s architecture will be planned and executed thanks to a collaboration between both DP Architects and Studio Carter. With a portion of the hotel boasting a terracotta roof and colonial-style window shutters, Mondrian Singapore is definitely inspired by the local shophouses located within the downtown district.

Besides the three-storey facade, the hotel will also see a new, contemporary tower housing majority of the hotel’s 300 guest rooms, a rooftop pool and bar as well as a signature restaurant.

Both buildings will be connected by an urban oasis landscape deck, a nod to our country’s nickname, ‘Garden City’.

In addition to all the said facilities and amenities, the hotel is also expected to house a speakeasy bar with a hidden entrance for travellers and locals to explore.

Finally, the debut of the Mondrian brand on Singapore’s shores is a reflection of the strategic expansion by Accor and Mondrian. In time, there will be more Mondrian properties launched in the Dominican Republic, Germany, the Maldives, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The Mondrian Singapore will debut at Duxton Hill in early 2023. More information available here.
