If you’ve dreamed of learning to fly but can’t be bothered to cough up the cash, here’s your chance. There are quite a few flight schools in Singapore, but there’s a new one at Old Seletar Airport, which will be the first private flight school and will be offering full motion flight simulations to anyone, regardless of age.
They have an FAA approved Redbird MCX flight simulator, said to be one of the most sophisticated flight simulators for general aviation, and simulates both single and twin engine aircraft models like the Piper Seminole and the Cessna 172-S.
The flight school will offer programs catered towards all ages, and the programs range from recreational flying to formal flight training for FAA licenses and ratings. The recreational flying program will train the user to fly a simulation under realistic conditions, and at a rather affordable cost (which has not been disclosed yet). They will also be making it possible for the user to qualify for the FAA Private Pilot’s license in less than 25 days.
We will be updating you with more information about the flight school after its launch on Nov 15.
