New hotels are popping up all over Singapore—like Yotel Singapore, InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay and Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena to name a few recent ones—but Andaz Singapore, which just opened at the end of Oct, is setting itself apart with a few interesting touches.

This first Andaz-branded hotel to open in Southeast Asia is sited within mixed-use development DUO; that pair of honeycomb-shaped glass-clad skyscrapers beside the iconic Parkview Square. This means that some of Singapore’s best restaurants, bars and shops are just a stone’s throw away from the hotel, including Atlas, Haji Lane and Alchemist Beer Lab.

But why you’ll really want to check out Andaz is for the hotel’s own offerings, starting with the charming Alley on 25, a collection of seven shophouse-themed eateries serving up local cuisine. Then there’s 665°F restaurant which specializes in premium meats and sustainable seafood; Pandan for takeaway confectionary; and the much-anticipated Mr Stork, a rooftop bar offering teepee-hut seating and 360° views of the city from its perch.

The 342 rooms (including 26 suites) feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a complimentary minibar filled with local snacks and non-alcoholic drinks that are replenished daily. That’s not all. All guests are treated to a club room access-like experience with all-day complimentary refreshments at their Sunroom lounge, plus access to the Andaz Lounge Hour from 5-7pm daily where complimentary wines and their own Andaz Pale Ale (made in collaboration with Red Dot Microbrewery) await.

There’s also an outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness centre for your workout needs after all that feasting and drinking. If you’re hankering for a staycation, Andaz Singapore is now offering an opening discount of 20 percent from now through Jan 31, 2018 for a minimum of two night’s stay.
