There’s a reason why the Christmas period is also known as the season of giving. If you have the time in your busy schedule of boozy parties and Christmas dinners, make someone’s day and volunteer for a cause or give back to the less privileged. One way you can do that is through grocery delivery app Honestbee‘s new initiative.
In partnership with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, this new program won’t take up too much of your time. All you have to do is to go on the Honestbee app (or website), scroll down and click on “Love & Time”, which is what you’re essentially doing. Purchase the “Gift of Love” and Honestbee will prepare a grocery bag ($30) of fresh vegetables, bread, eggs, rice, canned food and some fresh meat and donate it to familes supported by Beyond Social Services and Lakeside Family Services. But if you want get involved more intimately, there are a few options to purchase the “Gift of Time”, where you’ll be roped in to help distribute these groceries to the beneficiaries.
Make the purchases anytime from now till Dec 14, and they’ll be delivered to families in Jalan Bukit Merah, Bukit Ho Swee and Jurong East between Dec 20-23.
